Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between you, the passenger/guest, and us, Serif Yenen Travel.

All purchases or bookings made through this website, or over the phone through guest service, are subject to the following Terms & Conditions. In any and all bookings, the person making the booking shall be deemed to have accepted these conditions on behalf of the guest(s) named in the booking. No variation to these Terms & Conditions shall be of any effect unless made in writing by and with the authority of the company.

PAYMENTS

Serif Yenen Travel is able to accept the following payment methods:

Mastercard, Visa, Check, Bank Transfer.

The company requires full payment in advance for regular tours, 25-50% advance payment for private tours.

Your credit card payment will be processed by YENEN Turizm ve Yayıncılık Paz. San. ve Tic. Ltd. Sti (A Turkish Limited Liability Company).

Upon release of payment and guarantee of booking, all guests submit 100% compliance to the following Terms & Conditions Policy. Should any doubt or dispute with said Terms & Conditions arise before booking, guests are requested to contact the company before confirming a booking.

DELAYS ON GROUP TOURS / PRIVATE TOURS / PRIVATE TRANSFER SERVICES

Upon booking of a service, you will receive a confirmation email that details meeting location and specific meeting time. Guests are asked to arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour. Please give yourself ample time to reach the meeting point. If you or your travel companions are running late or need assistance in finding the meeting point, please call our emergency number at the number provided in your confirmation email, and we will do our best to assist you, however it is your ultimate responsibility to reach a meeting point on time. The company is not responsible for failure to arrive at a tour meeting point on time. Please see the no show/late arrival clause on the cancellation policy.

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

If you must cancel your trip, you must do so in writing. Cancellation refunds will be calculated as of the date we receive your written cancellation. All payments for travel services not provided to the guest shall be refunded in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and in accordance with Serif Yenen Travel’s Cancellation Policy.

A booking is considered successfully canceled or amended only after company sends successful notification via email and cancellation/amendment fees are assessed.

VALID IDENTIFICATION

Please ensure that all members of your party have a valid ID on them on the day of the visit. This is particularly important for guests who have qualified for a reduction based on age or student status. Students should bring a valid photo ID to every tour. Guests will be responsible for additional costs because of lack of ID.

REFUNDS ON UNUSED SERVICES

All private or regular tours by Serif Yenen Travel are sold as an entire package; as such there will be no offers of partial refunds for portions of a service that a guest has decided not to utilise. If a guest has pre-purchased tickets to any sites visited, or tours or site visits similar to the tour booked from an outside vendor, the company is not responsible/liable for the reimbursement or prorating of any such fees.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

The company strongly recommends that guests arrange travel insurance to cover cancellations and delays due to unforeseen circumstances, or those beyond all control (e.g. inclement weather, strikes, seismic events). It is also recommended that guests arrange medical and personal insurance to cover any medical expenses, loss of baggage, loss of personal belongings, or other such travel mishaps. Guests agree both the company and any local partner operators are not liable for any of such unforeseen circumstances, and hold both parties harmless. All claims to reimbursements for insurance must go directly through the insurance provider, and not through Serif Yenen Travel or its affiliates.

LIABILITY

Serif Yenen Travel (A-class government-licensed travel agency) and its websites, brands, subsidiaries, affiliated entities, employees and agents act only as agent for the various suppliers that provide transportation, accommodation, shopping, sightseeing, guiding, accompaniment, escort, activities, workshops or other services connected with any booked tours. Such services are subject to the terms and conditions of those suppliers. Serif Yenen Travel and its respective employees neither own nor operate any person or entity which is to, or does, provide goods or services for these trips, tours and forms of transportation, and, as a result, do not maintain any control over the personnel, equipment, or operations of these suppliers, and assume no liability for and cannot be held liable for any personal injury, death, property damage, or other loss, accident, delay, inconvenience, or irregularity which may be occasioned by reason of (1) sickness, weather, strikes, hostilities, wars, terrorist acts, acts of nature, local laws or other such causes (2) any wrongful, negligent, wilful, or unauthorised acts, defect, omissions or default on the part of any of the tour suppliers, or other employees or agents in performing these services, (3) any defect in or failure of any vehicle, equipment, instrument owned, operated or otherwise by any of these suppliers, or (4) any wrongful, wilful, or negligent act or omissions on any part of any other party not under the direct supervision, control or ownership of Serif Yenen Travel. All services and accommodations are subject to the laws and regulations of the country in which they are provided. Serif Yenen Travel is not responsible for any baggage or personal effects of any individual participating in the tours or trips arranged by Serif Yenen Travel. Individual travellers are responsible for purchasing a travel insurance policy, if desired, that will cover some of the expenses associated with the loss of luggage or personal effects.

Serif Yenen Travel is not responsible for any changes made to the itinerary or for any negligent or wilful act or failure to act of any supplier or of any third party.

Some tours include visits to shops and merchants. Serif Yenen Travel is not responsible for any purchases you make during your trip, whether that merchant is part of the scheduled itinerary or not. By utilising the travel services of the Suppliers, you agree that you will look to such Suppliers for any accident, injury, property damage, or personal loss to you or to those travelling with you, and that neither Serif Yenen Travel nor any representative of Serif Yenen Travel shall be liable.

FORCE MAJEURE

If a site, attraction, or visit on your schedule tour service/itinerary is closed due to force majeure, including strikes or other unforeseen closures, Serif Yenen Travel will do its best to contact guests as soon as possible, and offer a suitable substitution, reschedule a different service, or provide a refund, pending availability and at full company discretion.

MISCELLANEOUS

Serif Yenen Travel reserves the right to change the itinerary without notice if necessary because of unforeseen circumstances, such as closure of sites, labour disputes or adverse weather conditions but will always endeavour to substitute other attractions of equal interest and value.

MEDICAL ISSUES

All guests must have their own travel insurance.

You must advise us in writing, at or prior to booking, of any physical, emotional or mental condition which may require professional attention during the trip or may require the use of special equipment. If you fail to disclose any such conditions, Serif Yenen Travel may refuse to allow you to take the trip and you will forfeit the trip cost; and in such event we shall have no liability, financial or otherwise.

We cannot accommodate women past their sixth month of pregnancy. If you require a wheelchair, you must provide your own small, collapsible wheelchair. Certain features, and certain trips, are not wheelchair-accessible. We cannot guarantee any wheelchair assistance or accessibility in international destinations. Serif Yenen Travel reserves the right to decline any trip participant whose condition, in our opinion, may affect the health, safety or enjoyment of other participants.

Serif Yenen Travel is not responsible for the costs of any medical treatment you may require during the trip. Under no circumstances is Serif Yenen Travel responsible for the quality of medical care, or lack thereof, you may receive while on the trip.

CUSTOMER CONDUCT

We, as Serif Yenen Travel, may at our discretion require any person to alight from a tour if we deem his/her conduct offensive or a nuisance to other guests, or if behaving in such a way as to constitute a risk to his/her safety or to the safety of other guests, and Serif Yenen Travel shall have no further liability.

DISPUTES

This Terms & Conditions is agreement and is governed by Turkish law and, in case of a dispute that cannot be settled amicably, exclusive jurisdiction is conferred on the Istanbul Courts. Guests agree that any controversy between the parties to this agreement involving the construction or application of any of the terms, provisions, or conditions of this agreement, shall on written request of either party served on the other, be submitted first to mediation and then if still unresolved to Istanbul Courts. Guests agree the company will set venue and jurisdiction of any suit arising from a dispute.

PARTIAL INVALIDITY

If any provision of this policy is held by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, void or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall nevertheless continue in full force and effect without being impaired or invalidated in any way.

CONTAINMENT OF ENTIRE POLICY

This Terms and Conditions policy is an independent document and supersedes any and all other agreements, either oral or in writing, between the parties hereto. Please see the documentation regarding cancellation and amendment policies.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If your cruise ship does not dock in the agreed port and changes its route, you will get full refund.

If you cancel up to 15 days before the tour, you will get full refund, only if you paid by check; you will get 95% refund for your payment, if you paid by credit card. This fee reflects only our costs of administering a reservation, and is not intended to be punitive in any way.

For cancellations between 15-3 days before the trip, 35% of the total fee will be kept, and for cancellations 72 hours or less prior to the scheduled date of departure, there will be no refund.

Cancellations for tours that include flight tickets: Even if guests cancel the tour more than 15 days prior to arrival, after the flight ticket(s) have been issued, the cost of the flight ticket will not be refundable, but the balance of the tour fee will be refundable.

Cancellations for tours that include flight tickets: If guests cancel between 15-3 days before the trip, after the flight ticket(s) have been issued, the cost of the flight ticket will be deducted from the 65% of the total tour price and the remainder will be refunded.

Late Arrivals & No Shows: No refunds or re-bookings can be provided for late arrivals or no shows after tour commencement or departure. It is your ultimate responsibility to reach a meeting point on time.

We realise the majority of those who cancel their reservations do so out of necessity. Refunds will be processed 10 days after our receipt of your written cancellation and travel documents.
